First Week

Our first week was a little hectic. We spent more time learning about one another than anything else. I was able to get to know each student's personality, and I believe that will help me in understanding their learning styles. We will be spending next week doing much of the same thing. We will focus on rules and procedures within the classroom, so that the students will better understand how to conduct themselves while performing in centers or stations.

This week has been about getting to know one another and classroom procedures/rules. It has been a long summer for these kiddos. It will take a while for your child to understand the classroom rules and the expectations that I have for everyone. If your child states that I was "mean" that day, I am truly not trying to be "mean". I have to model and correct behavior in the classroom, so that everyone knows what I expect from them. So do not panic! I am not trying to single one child out or any child in particular, but we have to follow classroom rules for everyone's safety and to ensure that all students are learning.  It will take a little time for everyone to bounce back from summer, and to get into the routine of things again. Please bear with me while we make the transition. All I want is your child to succeed in every way possible.

Bus Run

Bus run and parent pick-up was a little hectic, since it was the first day. Please let us know if your child's schedule changes. Today was a great day though. I hope your kiddo enjoyed it as much as I did.

First Day of School

Hope everyone is ready and excited for the first day. We will be doing a lot of fun activities to get to know one another. I can't wait to really get to know your child.

We had a great turn out at Meet the Teacher night. I met some pretty cute kiddos and their awesome families. I provided a parent questionare. If you need another copy, let me know. Please send any paperwork, including the questionare, back to school Monday. Thanks!

Meet the Teacher Night

Everyone remember we have Meet the Teacher Night at Jefferson Primary from 4 to 6 this Thursday, 8/21/14.  I am so excited to meet students and parents. Please feel free to drop by. You may bring your child's supplies to place within their cubby. Hope to see you there!
