Educational Concert Field Trip

The theme for the concert is cowboy. You may dress your child to match. We will be leaving around 8:30 and coming back to the school at around 2:15. If the weather is nice, we will head to the park afterwards for a picnic. Our wonderful cafeteria staff will provide a sack lunch.

The kids are excited and I am too. Monday just can't come fast enough!

Box Top Collection

If you have any box tops around the house, please send them with your child. Over time ten cents really does add up. With the money raised, our school can buy new P.E. equipment or books for the library. The options are endless. So please save those box tops and send them in!

Shapes

Today we discussed triangles, vertices, and sides. The class did great. For a little fun, we took shapes and built objects with them. Our creative juices were flowing, and their little minds were going full force. From hamburgers to helicopters, our shapes took form.

Butterfly Garden

Jefferson Primary had a wonderful book donated about butterflies and their life cycle. In return, we have agreed to make our small garden into a butterfly garden. The children have taken an active part in the process. Each student was able to plant his or her own Milkweed plant. A big THANK YOU to Ms. Pam Watts! She has done an amazing job getting the project off the ground, instructing, and encouraging our students!

Projects

Here are a few pictures of the projects that we have completed in class. I am sorry that it took this long to post them. I hope you all are having a wonderful Spring Break!
