We are learning in science all about heating and cooling. We watched a short clip of Sid the Science Kid. He was wondering why his ice pops melted. Our class pondered the question, discussed various reasons, and reviewed more items that might melt. Also, we conducted an experiment. The students used hot water to see how it reacted to the frozen ice cube. The goal was to melt the ice to get the tasty grapes for a snack. The class loved it!!! This was an awesome experience for these kiddos.

Plaidypus Lost. The story is all about a little girl who loses her platypus very often and spends most of her time searching for him. The class enjoyed reading the story. Our class project was to make our own platypuses. I think they turned out really cute.
